Hi, I'm Anne!

I’ve called Tenafly home for thirty-one years, and it truly is where my heart belongs. As a local parent and a teacher who taught French and Spanish in our public schools for nearly three decades, I have been so lucky to be a part of the everyday lives of our families and neighbors. Growing up with a father who was a Tuskegee Airman and a mother who worked as a UN translator, I learned early on to value different perspectives and the threads that connect us all. Whether I was teaching at NYU or living overseas, those lessons stayed with me, grounding my global outlook in a deep love for our local community. Today, I’m serving as your Democratic Party District 3 Committeeperson, and I am running for Tenafly Council to bring that same spirit of advocacy to our local government. I really want to help our schools and town hall work more closely together so every student and resident feels supported. I’m also focused on making our streets safer for everyone walking around town and creating more fun, outdoor learning moments for our middle schoolers at the Nature Center.
